The PAC hosts an annual Cookies for Katie fundraiser, in honour of Katie McLaughlin! We are selling cookies to raise funds for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice to honour and remember Katie, who passed away in November 2022 when she was a third-grade student at Selkirk Elementary.
Proceeds from the cookie sale are donated to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice to honour and remember Katie McLaughlin (2014-2022). Katie was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and classmates. She had a special ability to lift up those around her with her smiles and giggles. Katie and her family advocated for Lord Selkirk to become a more accessible school, making our community a more kind and inclusive place. This fundraiser is a meaningful opportunity to think of Katie and to support Canuck Place, a very important place for Katie and her family.
