In brief:

Thursday, May 12:

This is a day for current students and their families to learn about Selkirk’s 100-year history. Many of our grade 3-7 students will be involved in a musical review of the last 100 years and will be performing it in the afternoon for parents. Several rooms in the school will also be made into “decades rooms” and will have displays of memorabilia from those decades. Two additional rooms will be made into a “hands-on” museum of sorts of older artifacts and items that children can touch and try; another room will be a “future” classroom with displays of what education and learning might look like in the future.

Friday, May 13:

This is an evening for former or past students and staff only (and spouses or family members) who attended Selkirk over the last 100 years to come back to their elementary school, visit, look around and reminisce with classmates.
• Throughout the day there will be an antique car show on the school grounds. As the cars will be arriving in the morning, they will be available for all students, families and visitors to see during the day. Car show admission is free.
• From 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. there will be an evening event for registered alumni students and staff only (and spouses or family members). (Unfortunately we cannot accommodate non-registered or current students or family members at this event.) This event will feature the decades rooms for alumni to visit and reconnect, food and beverages, a cash bar in the library, and a performance of the musical review by current Selkirk grade 3-7 students.
